Caring for a balm
Heat is the only real enemy. A balm left on a sunlit windowsill or in a parked car will soften and lose its surface. Keep the tin closed, store it out of direct sun, and it will hold its texture. If it does soften, letting it sit somewhere cool overnight usually brings it back.
